Between Hamburg and Taipei, a mysterious love story. Through continuous flashbacks, the Hamburg artist Sophie Schmitt relives the tragedy of an unexpected and unclear death of her young Taiwanese lover Ai-ling. During the presentation of a visual installation dedicated to Ai-ling, Sophie is approached by the ambitious journalist Mei-li, who tries to seduce her. The artist refuses her advances, but then meets her again in Hamburg. Through a fast sequence of events, we discover that the journalist is secretly conducting investigations as to the death of Ai-ling, she doesn’t work for a Taiwanese newspaper and has illegally entered Germany.
