Ilynx is a Greek word used by Roger Caillois to distinguish all types of ‘games’ connected to a state of vertigo, vortex, ecstasy and bewilderment.
An old woman wearing a black leather jacket – interpreted by the dancer and choreographer Simona Bertozzi – and a plastic yellow football make up the scene. Playing is freedom within the rules, it is the vertigo of who offers him/herself to the condition of a solitary recital. The ‘play’ world lies between two boundaries: the explosion of fantasy, elation, improvisation and the arrival of the rules, moderation, measure and order. The protagonist moves between these two horizons, questioning her marked body, forgetting it in the pleasure between the pleasure of the vortex of her memories and the game which she enjoys and consumes her.
The woman puts herself on display and opens up, knowing that what she does makes sense exclusively in the place where she performs, in that period and with those rules. Her universe is one of cold seduction, where she observes her body transform under the weight of her memories. - Time: 09.30 p.m.
