Pedro tells the (true) story of the first HIV+ gay activist who brought the Aids tragedy to prime time television.
In 1994 the producers of the MTV reality show The Real World decided to include the young Pedro Zamora in the cast, giving him the possibility to tear down the veil of ignorance and prejudice that surrounds both the illness and the GLBT community. Pedro died at the age of 22, immediately after the showing of the last episode in TV, his death moving people all over the world.
A national premiere, Nick Oceano’s film is also a reflection on the relationship between fiction and reality, and the power of reality shows. Go to official web site
