AND THE AWARD GOES TO…

The juries of Cinefilia Ritrovata and Department of Arts of the University of Bologna chose, selecting two winning titles (Best Fiction Film, Best Documentary and a Special Mention) the best feature films of this edition. The Festival would also like to thank Alberto Candiani, Stefano Careddu, Zoe Ambra Innocenti, Silvia Martini, Stefano Monti, jury’s members, precious companions along this amazing adventure we call Cromocosmi.

Best documentary film
BIXA TRAVESTY (TRANNY FAG)

For the courage of a vital, nitty-gritty representation of a brave individual. The movie represents a body affirming itself and its sexuality, despite any kind of aversion, beyond any preordained definition, combining performativity and private life in a bright mix of style and provocation. Special mention
SI-E-NUI SA-RANG (THE POET AND THE BOY)

For the ability to narrate lightly, with harmony and enchantment the depths and the dark sides of an everyday man. For the spontaneity through which it explores the discovery of homosexuality in the complex sociopolitical south-Korean context, changes style and delves with elegance into a controversial and ambiguous topic.

 Best feature film
LAS HIJAS DEL FUEGO (DAUGHTERS OF FIRE)

For being an artistic and militant act that does not care about the others’ gaze or opinion and that irreverently establishes a new form of feminine iconography by taking advantage of the bodies’ complexity and variety to claim a personal right to pleasure.
